Lauren Feenstra


Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

Lauren is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, where she is gaining hands-on clinical experience through her Internship placement. Under the supervision of licensed professionals, she provides counseling and therapeutic services to individuals with a range of mental health concerns. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University.

Lauren is dedicated to fostering a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is passionate about supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions, and is committed to empowering clients toward personal growth and positive change.

With a strong foundation in ethical practice, confidentiality, and client-centered care, Lauren emphasizes continuous professional development and reflective practice. She believes in a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the connection between emotional, psychological, and environmental factors, and seeks to integrate movement, mindfulness, and nature-based experiences into her therapeutic work.

Outside of her clinical training, Lauren is actively involved in her community. She serves as a WyldLife leader with Park City Young Life and volunteers with the Young Men’s Service League of Park City, supporting local service initiatives and youth mentorship. She is also an avid outdoor and fitness enthusiast who enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking, backpacking, and yoga.
