Feel more alive and at peace
As a mental health therapist, I offer an integrated and creative approach to psychotherapy focusing on the unique needs, interests and vitality of each of my clients. I am dedicated to processes that help individuals discover new solutions to difficult life challenges and achieve important life dreams and goals. I am committed to nonjudgmental, optimistic, realistic approaches. As no single method suits everyone, my own approach draws from energy and positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) attachment theory, humanistic, existential, and depth psychology. I am also trained in the John Gottman theory of couple's counseling. We can meet in my private office or get outside for alternative settings such as hiking, walking, snowshoeing, etc.
I offer various intervention tools including:
- Hypnotherapy,
- Emotional Freedom Techniques,
- EMDR,
- Timeline Therapy,
- Dream Work,
- IFS Internal Family Systems,
- ACT Acceptance and Commitment Therapy,
- Gottman trained in Couple's Counseling,
- Somatic Energy Work for Releasing Trapped Emotions.
I offer Solution-Focused Brief Therapies as well as long term continuous care.
I am specifically trained in John Gottman's theory of building healthy relationships, as well as training in healthy sexuality, and treating anxiety and depression. I also specialize in treating trauma and various addictions. The psychology of dreams is of particular interest; this was the topic of my doctoral dissertation. My clinical training and experience has prepared me to work with couples, adults, adolescents, and children.
